Library Painting / Carpeting Project

On July 6th, crews supervised by Facilities Services began moving furniture to prepare for painting and carpeting all rooms on the library's second floor. We expect the work to continue through the month of July and into early August. During this period, the floor will be closed to the public. Staff with offices on second floor will be temporarily housed in other spaces in the building. While there will be limited access to portions of our collection, library staff will work with community members to provide full access to needed materials.

The main stairway will be closed during the project. We ask that library visitors use the elevator or one of the side staircases to access levels three and four of the building during the construction period. Thanks, Mac community, for your flexibility and understanding as we refresh our study spaces.

Funky library search results?

The library has partnered with our vendor to test changes in the way our WorldCat Discovery results display. If you see search results that look unusual to you, you can use the "sort by" box in the upper left corner to select "Library and Relevance." This will sort your search results in the "regular" way. If you have questions or are having trouble finding an item, please contact us.
