Write Well: Writing Tips from Faculty and Staff

Macalester librarian Ginny Heinrich is featured in a 60-second video that is part of the Write Well series of videos sponsored by the CST. This entertaining and informative series of short videos provide writing tips from faculty and staff at Macalester. You can find the entire series on the CST website. Check them out and get tips on how to improve your writing!

December 9: World-Renowned Guitarist on Campus

Macalester is pleased to welcome to campus Koo Nimo, a world-renowned guitarist and a Ghanaian living legend. Please join us in celebrating his music (iTunes link) and his rich life dedicated to the preservation of traditional Ghanaian palm wine music.

Location: Weyerhauser Board Room
Time and Date: December 9th, 4:30-6pm.

At this event, Mary Hark, former Mac professor and book artist, will also talk about a book that celebrates Koo Nimo. The book can be viewed in the library.

On Saturday December 10th at 8pm, Koo Nimo will also join the African Music Ensemble in Kagin Commons.

Printing Awareness Week 2011

Students: take the printing pledge then get a QR code FLASH ME button which will give you a chance to win an Apple iPad* or one of six USB Flash drives. Scan your button to reveal a printing tip, and then find out on Nov. 17th at 11AM in the library (and online) if your tip is the winner!

Construction on the 4th Floor

The library is having some minor construction work done on the 4th level, the quiet study level in the library. We expect this work to be completed by Thanksgiving. We apologize for the disruption during our 8 - 4:30 hours, but expect the floor will be quiet during evening study hours. Thanks for your patience during this project.
